Welcome from the Artistic Director
Welcome to the inaugural season of 360 Theatre School! I am thrilled to share this exciting journey with you as we launch our first year of productions, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of American theatre artists. This season, we kick things off with Silent Sky, a story that invites us to explore the stars and the lives of those who challenged the boundaries of science and society.
But the journey doesn’t stop here! Following Silent Sky, we’re excited to bring you Urinetown, a satirical musical that’s as hilarious as it is thought-provoking, running April 11-13th. And closing our season in May, we present The Shark is Broken, a compelling behind-the-scenes look at the making of the iconic film Jaws, performed May 15-18.
Our productions aren’t just shows—they are the culmination of hard work, dedication, and a hunger for creative expression. We provide our students with the tools and space to grow as artists, and in a world where access to top-notch performing arts training is increasingly limited, this mission has never been more important. We strive to give every young actor the opportunity to develop their voice, their craft, and their passion for storytelling.
Unfortunately, as we push forward, we face challenges—particularly the cuts in state funding for the arts here in Florida. These cuts make our work all the more urgent and difficult, as they threaten access to the kind of artistic education that shapes future leaders and creatives. 360 Theatre School is driven by a belief that the arts are an essential part of a well-rounded education, fostering empathy, creativity, and confidence in young people. But to continue this mission, we rely heavily on the generosity and support of individuals like you.
I encourage you to think of 360 Theatre School not only as a place where extraordinary performances happen but as a critical training ground where young artists are prepared for the future. Your support—whether through donations, sponsorships, or simply spreading the word—helps keep the arts alive for the next generation.
To the students and staff who have poured their hearts into these productions, thank you for your boundless energy and commitment. And to our audience, thank you for believing in us and being part of this special season. Together, we are creating something meaningful and lasting.
Enjoy the show, and be sure to join us for the rest of our extraordinary season!
Warmly,
Eric Fredrickson
