Joshua Brown
Violinist Joshua Brown has garnered worldwide acclaim for his “richness of sound, elegance of reading…commitment of every moment” (La Libre). A recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, Joshua’s international recognition includes 2nd Prize and both Audience Awards at the 2024 Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, 1st Prize at the 2023 Global Music Education International Violin Competition in Beijing, and 1st Prize at the 2019 International Violin Competition of Leopold Mozart. He has performed with orchestras such as the Munich Radio Orchestra, MDR Sinfonieorchester, and Indianapolis Symphony. A passionate recitalist, he has appeared in prestigious series like Chicago’s Dame Myra Hess and Brussels' Festival Musiq3. Joshua is currently pursuing his Artist Diploma at New England Conservatory under Donald Weilerstein, playing a Nicolo Amati violin, generously loaned by the Mary B. Galvin Foundation.
