Carrie Mills
Director/Choreographer
Ms. Mills originally hails from Allentown, PA and earned her B.A. in Theatre from Penn State and her M.F.A. in Theatre for Young Audiences from Arizona State University. She has worked onstage and in the education departments of regional theatres across the country including The Utah Shakespearean Festival, Missoula Children's Theatre, People's Light & Theatre Company, and Asolo Repertory Theatre. She made the leap from the professional theatre world to the classroom in 2007 and teaches the Drama and Musical Theatre classes at BMS while also serving as the VPA Curriculum Leader. In addition to teaching fulltime, she’s worked locally in Sarasota with Musicians Out of the Box, The Players Theatre, The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Venice Theatre, and Via Nova Chorale. She would like to thank Lorenzo, Henry, and Alice for their support and understanding and offers heartfelt shout outs to Thomas Thai (we miss you!) and Christine Reagan for keeping her sane.

Christine Reagan
Technical Supervisor
Christine Reagan serves as the Visual and Performing Arts Director with Sarasota County Schools at Booker Middle School. A New York native, she holds her B.S. in Elementary Education from SUNY Oneonta and her M.A. in Educational Theatre in Colleges and Communities from New York University. Christine previously served as Florida Studio Theatre’s Director of Education and has also worked in the education departments of Goodspeed Musicals, Hartford Stage, and Camp Broadway.

Brian Steele
Production Manager/Lighting Design
As the current Production Manager of the Booker High School VPA, Brian is excited to have Booker Middle VPA back on our stage. Some of his favorite shows he has worked on the Booker stage include, Legally Blonde, Hairspray, Starmites, The Wiz, and more. As an alumnus of the BHS VPA, he is grateful for this program and is always amazed by the talented staff and students, both BMS and BHS alike.
