When I was asked to direct Shrek, I didn’t hesitate for a moment at the opportunity to lead this talented cast and crew on an adventure into the whimsical world of everyone's favorite ogre.

"Shrek" is a story that celebrates individuality, friendship, and the beauty of being true to oneself. Throughout our rehearsals, we've worked hard to capture the essence of the original characters while infusing our own creativity and passion into each moment. From Shrek's gruff exterior to Donkey's infectious charm and Fiona's inner strength, every character in this story has a journey to embark upon, obstacles to overcome, and ultimately, a lesson to both teach and learn.

And that’s life, right? We are all on a journey, overcoming obstacles, and learning lessons to help us grow, change, and discover who we truly are. As we bring this beloved tale to life on stage, my hope is that you will recognize the importance of embracing your own uniqueness. You are fearfully and wonderfully created by a God who loves you on purpose and has a purpose for your life.

I am immensely proud of the hard work and dedication every student, team member, and parent has put into this production. We hope you enjoy this journey with us, and that you leave encouraged to let your freak flag fly!
