Elif Akgul (Cinderella’s Stepmother)
Elif Akgul is delighted to be a part of this year's production, Into the Woods Jr., as Cinderella's Stepmother. In the past you may have seen her as Babette in Beauty and the Beast Jr., or on the props crew for Freaky Friday. Elif has participated in Soundwaves, Concert Choir, Honors Orchestra, Honors Choir, Band, Morning Announcements, the girls’ Basketball team in 7th grade, and was a baritone in BCMEA chorus in 7th and 8th grade. She would like to thank Mr. Tamanini, Ms. Hurd, Mrs. Rhy, Ms. Douglass, and all the other directors for pushing her to her best ability. Enjoy the show!
Aiden Armillei (Student Manager)
Aiden Armillei is excited to be a student manager in Sandburg’s production of Into the Woods Jr. You might have seen him in Beauty and The Beast Jr. as a Narrator, Freaky Friday as a student manager, and Shrek Jr. as a guard/company. In his time at Sandburg, Aiden was placed into NJHS, and was the Studio Chief for the Morning Announcements. Aiden also enjoyed the musical environment and all his fellow cast mates, and spending time with them during rehearsals. Aiden would like to thank his family for pushing him to new heights, Ms. Douglass and Mya Hawes for helping him succeed, and his closest friends Mariah, Aislinn, Robbie, Mckenna, and Lulu, as well as all his other friends!
Dexter Barnett (Mysterious Man)
Dexter Barnett is extremely thrilled to play the role of the Mysterious Man! He has also been seen as LeFou in last year’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. Dexter participated in Concert Choir and Honors Choir! Dexter would love to thank his Mom-Mom for all her love, his father for all his support, his aunts that he jokes with, and his old teachers Ms. Enwright and Ms. Mariazzi for all of their help and interest in English and acting. Dexter wishes you all love the show and have a great rest of the year!!!
Armeta Brice (Fairy)
Armeta Brice is thrilled to be playing the role of a fairy in Sandburg’s production of Into the Woods Jr. You might have seen her in Beauty and the Beast Jr. as a villager. In her time at Sandburg, Armeta played basketball, and track. Armeta would like to thank Ms. Douglass and Mr. T for never giving up on her. Mya Hawes for giving her rides in Beauty and the Beast Jr. whenever she could. And Gracelyn’s mom for also giving her rides to rehearsal whenever she could.
Mia Brodsky (Narrator)
Mia Brodsky is extremely excited to be playing the role of the Narrator in Into the Woods Jr. You may have previously seen her in Beauty and the Beast Jr. (Cogsworth), Freaky Friday (Torrey), and Shrek Jr. (Gingerbread Man) on the Sandburg stage. She also played Fairy Godmother in Descendants and Gill in Finding Nemo Jr. on the Summer Stock stage. In her time at Sandburg, Mia enjoyed playing field hockey and softball. She also enjoyed being a member in NJHS and singing in the concert choir and select choir. She was also a part of afternoon announcements. Mia would like to thank her family for being her biggest supporters. She would also like to Mr. T for pushing her to be her best.
Jesse Buttari (Props & Sets Manager)
Jesse Buttari is extremely excited to be the Props and Sets Manager for the Tech Crew. You may have previously seen him behind the Sandburg stage for Beauty and the Beast Jr. and Freaky Friday. In his time at Sandburg, he was on the JV soccer team and a club team. Jesse has been a member of Fifth grade Choir, Select Choir, and Concert Choir. Also, he was selected for Honor's Choir for two years in a row. This year he will participating in BCMEA. Jesse would like to thank Mr. T for giving him the opportunity to do all of the amazing things in Choir this year and in the past. Lastly, he would like to thank his mom and dad for helping on Saturdays.
