Thank you for lending me your children to help them develop a love for the arts.
Tonight, you will see a show that has produced tears, a labor of love and many hours of frustrating rehearsals. This show has shown us what working together does and that with a little cardboard, hot glue and costume changes, anything is possible!
I remember as a 6th grade student here at CMS, being shy and reserved. I was forced (Thanks mom!) to participate in a production at a local theatre called "The Wiz of the West". That changed my life. I went from being shy and reserved to being outgoing and and not afraid to speak in front of others. My hope as director of this production is that those students who are maybe that sixth grade version of me, are able to step outside of their comfort zone and find themselves. That is truly the goal of the theatre.
This performance would not have come to be without the help of several people.

The parents of our performers- Thank you for making sure your children are here for rehearsals, providing what they needed for costumes and making sure we have all been fed during these long tech rehearsals this week!
