Technical Direction/Scenic and Properties Design
A versatile and accomplished scenic painter, scenic and costume designer, freelance artist, and photographer: August brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to every project. Hailing from the picturesque landscapes of the Rural Midwest, August's passion for art and design has been nurtured and honed throughout their journey. Currently fresh off of graduating from Sweet Briar College with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Performing Arts: Theatre, August has demonstrated an exceptional talent and dedication to their craft. Their academic pursuits have not only equipped them with a solid foundation in theatrical arts but have also fueled their artistic exploration and innovation. August is working at the University of Virginia’s Drama Department as a Theatre Technician for the 2024-2025 Academic Calendar.

Katherine (Kat) Ardleigh
Costume Designer
Kat is thrilled to costume design her her first show as the lead designer! She has been sewing and creating since early childhood and can't wait to showcase her work on stage. Kat has previously worked on the costume team of Mean Girls Jr, Sound of Music Youth Edition, SIX Teen Edition, and Wizard of Oz Youth Edition. She's loved getting to costume these kids!

Producing Artistic Director
Melissa Charles is the Founder & Producing Artistic Director of DMR Adventures and Co-Founder of the BAC. A professional actor, director, & educator, she’s produced & directed over 100 productions. She's grateful to Matt, Cooper, the incredible cast and creative team, the producing team (Andrew, Jonah, Alanah, Karen), and the fabulous crew from DMR and the Paramount.
