    Hired in 2006, Kevin is also celebrating his 20th year at East High School. At East High he works on at least 3 shows per year including advising Take 5, one of the longest running student-written, student-directed one act play festivals in the country.  He has a BA in theatre and an MA in dance and occasionally teaches math.  He is an adjunct professor of puppetry at UVU.  In 2023 he was named UACTT teacher of the year. In 1998 he founded Broadway Kidz which is now a 501(c)(3) organization that produces an annual unique musical revue hybrid training camp and performance each summer. If you look carefully you will find 4 of his children on stage and his wife, 2 adult kids and 3 grandchildren in the audience.

    Vocal Director

    Mr. Egan is honored to serve as Music Director for this year’s production of High School Musical. He is in his third year teaching choir and other music classes at East High, where he is dedicated to developing students’ musicianship, confidence, and love of the performing arts. Previous music direction credits include Les MisérablesFootloose, and The Little Mermaid.

    Mr. Egan extends his sincere appreciation to the cast, crew, pit orchestra, faculty, families, and community members whose support makes this production possible.

    Anthony Huntington

    Orchestra Conductor

    Anthony Huntington is the Instrumental Music teacher at East in his seventh year of teaching, and director/conductor of the Pit Orchestra. Hailing from Northeastern Pennsylvania, he is a graduate of Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance, and studied trombone with Paul Bryan at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.  As a trombonist, he has performed professionally in cities including Philadelphia, Chicago, Toronto, and Las Vegas. He relocated to Salt Lake City in 2022 and is grateful to collaborate with such dedicated student musicians in the instrumental, choral, and theatre programs at East High
