A Note From the Director
Hello, and welcome to this year’s Senior High Drama production of Clue: High School Edition!
As a new teacher to H. Frank Carey, I knew I wanted to get involved in as much as I could as quickly as I could. As a former “theater kid” myself, I naturally looked into what I could do with the Drama Club. From the moment I was brought on, I wanted to be a part of H. Frank Carey’s theatrical productions and I am so glad that I was able to. I would like to thank our principal, Ms. Jennifer Alaimo, our English Department Chair, Mrs. Kristen Milio, and our Student Activities Director, Mrs. Rosemary Merino, for welcoming me to H. Frank Carey and for their endless support.
When I was trying to decide what show I wanted to do for the Drama Club this year, I wanted to do something that would excite the students and do something that they would enjoy. As I was picking, I had heard that the general consensus was that the club wanted to do Clue. When I looked into the show, I felt it was a perfect fit for my first show at Carey and to showcase the passionate students of the club that I had met.
I would also like to thank the incredible cast, crew, and production team of Clue: High School Edition, they have welcomed me as director and been there to offer any suggestions for the production. Without these incredible students, this production could not have gotten to where it is today. These students have put their hearts and souls into this production, and their dedication to the arts is nothing short of amazing.
A very special thank you is in order for our Stage Crew and Sound/Lights Advisors Mr. Alessandro Vanni and Mr. Michael Ferraro, in addition to Ms. Cathie Wright and the Silverman family. They have been so helpful and gracious with making this production run as smoothly as possible. We could not have done this without them.
Lastly, I would like to also extend my thanks to the entire H. Frank Carey High School community. You have welcomed me with open arms and are always there to lend a helping hand. Words cannot express just how grateful I am to you all for your endless kindness and support.
With all that being said, thank you for continuously supporting the arts and giving these students all of your love. It means the world to me to have you all here cheering everyone on. Without further adieu, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
Best,
Mr. Michael Califano
