Emily Adams

as Mush

Emily is thrilled to make her HU theatre debut in Newsies! Her previous credits include Legally Blonde, Mamma Mia!, and Phantom of the Opera, among others. Returning to New York for Newsies is especially meaningful for Emily, as her very first production was in this show. She is excited to seize the day once again with this incredible cast!
Samuel Asbury

as Joseph Pulitzer

Samuel is a sophomore English student from Avon, IN. He has previously acted in Twelve Angry Men (Juror 8) and Cinderella (King). Outside of theatre, he enjoys reading, writing, and weightlifting.
Anna Bowald

as Nun / Bowery Beauty / Scab

Anna is a HU senior majoring in film and TV with a minor in marketing, working towards earning her MBA. She grew up in Ontario, Canada, where she participated in theater for over 13 years. On the HU stage, she appeared her first year in Big Fish and last year in These Shining Lives, bookending her time here and going out with a bang on the Newsies stage.
Cory Benson

as Wiesel / Mr. Jacobi / Governor Teddy Roosevelt

Cory has stumbled, sung, and hammed it up in A Comedy of Errors; You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown!; and original shows at Blackhawk Ministries. He leads Untold Ministries’ drama team and is thrilled to be in his favorite musical. Big thanks to his amazing wife (the real director) and his boys, Will and Luke, for all their love and support.
Claire Benton

as Police Officer / Brooklyn Newsie

Claire is ready to be out there carrying the banner! You may have seen Claire in HU’s Much Ado About Nothing (Ursula). Claire would like to thank all of her friends and family for their support!
