 End Notes

Welcome to our production of Grease!

What a joy it has been to bring this iconic, high-energy musical to life with such an extraordinary group of young artists. From day one, this cast and crew have impressed me with their dedication, creativity, teamwork, and pure love of theatre. Their enthusiasm has been contagious, and they’ve poured their hearts into every song, dance, and scene. I could not be prouder of the community they’ve built and the story they are sharing with you tonight.

Theatre is so much more than a performance. It teaches collaboration, empathy, discipline, communication, and confidence, all skills that shape students far beyond the stage. Watching these young performers grow artistically and personally throughout this process has been one of the greatest joys of this production. I am also incredibly fortunate to work with a creative team whose talent, passion, and expertise elevate every moment of this show.

  • Jamie Sidener, our brilliant costume designer and music director, has not only crafted the vibrant 1950s world you see onstage but has also shaped the sound of the show with extraordinary care. Her musical leadership has guided our students to sing with strength, confidence, and unity.
  • Cori Daniels, our Associate Director and Co-Choreographer, has been a creative force at every step of this process. Her vision, insight, and deep understanding of character have shaped the heart of this production, while her choreography brings precision, storytelling, and joy to the stage. Cori’s ability to inspire students, helping them grow as actors, dancers, and collaborators, has been invaluable, and this show shines brighter because of her.
  • Cindy Folger, Co-Choreographer, has infused this production with infectious energy, musicality, and joy. Her choreography captures the spirit of Grease, bold, fun, and full of life, while still pushing our students to develop strong technique and confidence. Cindy brings positivity into every rehearsal, and her talent for creating movement that feels both dynamic and character-driven has made a tremendous impact on this show.
  • Ben Wheeler, our Technical Director, has built the world in which this story lives. His craftsmanship, creativity, and problem solving skills ensure that every set piece, light cue, and technical element supports the storytelling.

A huge thank you to our administration for their continued support of the arts and for recognizing the tremendous impact theatre has on our students and school community. And an enormous shout out to the parents and alumni whose encouragement, generosity, and belief in our program make productions like this possible. We couldn’t do what we do without you. Thank you for being here, for supporting student artists, and for celebrating the power of live theatre with us. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride—because Grease is the word!

With gratitude,
Rebecca Pollard Brune, Director
