The SpongeBob Musical (Youth Edition) - April 24 - April 29, 2024

Lake Mountain Middle School

 Director's Note

SpongeBob has always been a polarizing character. Some people love him, and others not so much. But one thing is certain: SpongeBob is a part of American culture. From the hit TV shows and movies, to video games, merchandise, and, of course, memes we see SpongeBob and his friends everywhere we turn. At first glance a Spongebob musical seems a bit of an odd choice, but in practice it's a show that really works. It has jokes for young and old alike, taking the very best parts of the SpongeBob universe and bringing it to life with a huge variety of music.

My favorite part of "The SpongeBob Musical" is the important life lessons embedded between the silliness and humor. Acceptance of those that are different from ourselves, the value of diversity, and the true meaning of friendship are all deeply embedded in the text of the show and make "The SpongeBob Musical" a true gem. I hope you enjoy our fun and silly show, and also take a moment to reflect on the many positive messages it carries for our students and children. It's a wonderful example of entertaining and uplifting content that is often hard to find these days.

Thank you so much for your support of Warrior Drama and cheering on these wacky kids!
