As we gather to celebrate Frozen the Broadway Musical For the First Time in Forever/North Florida, I am filled with gratitude for every person who helped bring this story to life. This performance was built by a community, and this production is a testament to what can happen when talented people come together with a shared vision.
To our cast: thank you for spending your precious In Summer moments sharing A Little Bit of You creating magic for our community. You embraced these beloved characters with heart and humor.
To Anna, Maggie, Jack, Billy, crew, designers, musicians, choreographers, stage managers, and volunteers: your work often happens behind the scenes, but your impact shines brightly onstage. This show is the definition of teamwork. To Mrs. Peck, thank you for your passion for this show, your trust in me, and for a fun summer.
This musical teaches us that even when life feels frozen, where there is love, there is hope. Like Elsa learning to Let It Go, we discovered the power of trusting ourselves and each other. Like Anna, we learned that love can take many forms, including support, friendship, and sacrifice.
As you watch today's performance, I hope you feel the joy, wonder, and magic that this company has poured into every scene. Whether you're hearing Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People, laughing with Hygge, or feeling the power of Monster, remember that behind every moment stands an incredible team whose passion made it possible.
With joy,
Betsy Penn
