Super Happy Awesome News! - October 23 - October 24, 2020

North Broward Preparatory School

 Welcome

Thank you for joining us for our production of Super Happy Awesome News. This production has been our most ambitious show to date as a lower school, and I hope you find it as charming and engaging as I do! I am so proud of the entire cast for their relentless effort, playful spirits, willinginess to learn, and of course, their immense talent.

This production has been a learning curve for all of us. I could have never dreamt of being able to direct and produce a virtual musical and here we are! These actors impress me daily with  their flexibility and talent. These past six months have been hard for all of us. I know we all wish we could be back in the drama room rehearsing or performing on the stage at The Township. I know I sure miss the “Break-a-leg” hug I give out to every actor before curtain on opening night. But  spending time with these actors and seeing their faces everyday, reminds me that our future is  bright. We will all get through these trying times together, stronger than ever. I am beyond  grateful for this cast and crew.

I hope you enjoy this wonderful production. It would not have  been possible without the help and endless support from some of the greatest people in the world.

Thank you Jon Fishman for all the effort and hard work you have put in with the actors. Thank you for your compassion, input, and all the laughs. I could not have done  it without you! Thank you Laurah Meriser for helping these kids sound AMAZING! Thank you to the Fine Arts Office and the North Broward Administration for all you do to make these productions happen! Thank you Brett Scott and Tiffany Lutz for all of your encouragement and support throughout this process. I am so lucky to have such an amazing team by my side!  Thank you Daniel and Maddy for your editing expertise and piecing together this virtual musical and making the final  product look so great.  Thank you Michelle Moore for being a pillar of organization, strength, and grit. Thank  you for being the calm before the storm and helping to accomplish this and every show. Thank you to ALL of the incredible parent volunteers who have helped in all the moving parts of this production. To the cast member’s families, thank you for your support and encouragement  throughout this process!
