WORDS IN HONOR OF PJ
On behalf of my partner, PJ Leonard, and all of his family, we would like to thank you for being here tonight to support his work.
This play, PJ Unfiltered, is the result of his passion, creativity, and countless hours of dedication. Sadly, PJ cannot be with us this evening due to a serious injury. He is currently in a partial coma, but we know in our hearts that he will recover and one day see the impact of what he, Hannah Bialous and Miles Kath have created.
Though he cannot be here in person, his spirit, voice, and vision live on through this performance. Caroline, Katarina, Cesar and our granddaughter Mia are here representing him, joined in love and pride by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and the entire Leonard family. Together, we celebrate all that he has brought into the world.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to executive producer Pat Mc Gowan, director Marcus Bleecker, and everyone who has poured their time, talent, and energy into making this production a success. It means so much to know that all profits from these performances will go to Solace House, supporting mental health and addiction services—a cause deeply meaningful to PJ and all of us.
We are also deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers we have received. We truly believe those prayers are working, and they give us strength every day.
Thank you for honoring his work and for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. Knowing that his words and creativity are being shared means more than we can ever express.
