Kai Sachon
as Sweeney Todd
Kai Sachon (he/him) is so excited to be a part of his final CAPA All School Musical! Throughout his seven years here, Kai has been involved in such incredible productions: Pippin (Leading Player), The Prom (Barry Glickman), & Hairspray (Seaweed J. Stubbs) for which he earned his Gene Kelly Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Outside of CAPA, Kai has worked with Pittsburgh Opera in We Shall Not Be Moved (Swing), directed and choreographed by Tony award winner Bill T. Jones. After high school, Kai will be pursuing his love for storytelling in college to earn his BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Michigan. He would like to thank his parents, his best friends, Skylar Bunk, & the CLO Academy for their support. A special thanks to Ms. Williams, Mr. Lucas, & Mrs. Lybarger for creating a space that allows students to grow as both artists & humans. Educators are the superheroes of our world today.

Hope Johnson
as Mrs. Nellie Lovett
Hope is a senior Musical Theatre major that is so excited to dive into this bloody, tragic, and fun tale! Hope is grateful for all the opportunities she was given at CAPA to grow such as Shrek the Musical TYA (Donkey), Children of Eden (Mama), Pippin (Fastrada U/S, Dance Captain). Hope would like to thank the Pittsburgh CLO Academy, Ms. Lybarger, Mr. Lucas, Ms. Williams, the Sweeney Todd creative team and techies, her best friends, and her family for helping shape her into the human and artist she is today. She promises this show is special and one you won’t want to miss.

Simon Nigam
as Anthony Hope
Simon Nigam (he/him), is grateful to be working with such an amazing company for his last musical at CAPA! He has performed with Quantum Theatre, Prime Stage, PCLO, Pittsburgh Opera, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pitt Stages, and virtually, over the pandemic, in a Zoom Shakespeare troupe. He was a 2016 winner, 2017 and 2020 finalist, and five-time honorable mention recipient in Pittsburgh Public Theater's Shakespeare Contest, and has won two Carnegie Library Teen Arts awards for filmmaking. As a writer, his debut play, Scenes from a Teenage Romance, was performed as a staged reading earlier this year. A 12th-grade Drama major, he can next be seen in this year’s senior play, The Government Inspector, May 7-8.
