Have you ever wondered what it might feel like to live on a sun-soaked Greek island, where every moment bursts into music and every memory has a melody? That is the world of Mamma Mia!, a story filled with love, laughter, and the timeless songs of ABBA.
Our production follows Sophie, a spirited young bride-to-be, who secretly invites three men from her mother Donna’s past in hopes of discovering which one is her father. What unfolds is a heartfelt and hilarious journey of identity, friendship, and family. This story is brought to life through some ABBA’s of the most iconic songs ever written. With its infectious energy and uplifting spirit, Mamma Mia! reminds us that love, in all its forms, is worth celebrating.
As I step into my second year directing here at Randolph High School, I am incredibly grateful for the community that has made this production possible. This show is truly the result of a collective effort.
Special thanks to Alicia Cadmus for her invaluable assistance and costume design. Ethan Smith and Matt Swiss for ensuring our cast and pit sound their very best. Anthony Vazzano and Matt Kohere for their leadership with the crew, building our set, and bringing the magic to life. Justine McMaster for her outstanding work as stage manager, alongside Caroline Wyka assisting. I am also grateful to Emma Nisivoccia for assistant directing. Gabby Ruiz and Sarah Hall for their work with props. Joshua Dobis for taking headshots. Peter Norell, Tim McElroy, and our talented student tech team for designing sound and lighting. Thank you to our dedicated stage crew for all of their hard work behind the scenes.
I would also like to extend my appreciation to John DiEdigio, Jessica Baxter, and Jennifer Fano for their continued support, and to the parents of the CTBA for their generosity, meals, and hours of volunteer work.
Finally, to our incredible cast, your talent, dedication, and joy have made this production truly special. I am so proud of each and every one of you.
Our production of Mamma Mia! is vibrant, energetic, and full of heart. We hope it has you singing along, dancing in your seat, and leaving the theater with a smile.
