KAMRAN SALIANI 

Founder, Executive Artistic Director & Resident Actor

Kamran is the founder and Executive Artistic Director of Rivertowns Playhouse, where he also serves as its Resident Actor. In 2022, Sir Ian McKellen personally granted Kamran permission to revive Acting Shakespeare, which Kamran now tours across the Hudson Valley and beyond.

Born in the Bronx and raised in Irvington, NY, Kamran is a proud Iranian-Italian-British-American and graduate of NYU Tisch (BFA, Drama). Selected roles include Algernon (The Importance of Being Earnest), Pericles (Pericles, Prince of Tyre), Friar Lawrence (Romeo & Juliet), Malvolio (Twelfth Night), Dumaine (Love’s Labour’s Lost), and Bertolt Brecht (Requiem for Black Marie).

Kamran was named a 2023 Westchester Wunderkind (Under 35 Class) and a finalist for Best Artist in Best of Westchester. He has earned multiple BroadwayWorld nominations, including Best Performer and Best Supporting Performer(Westchester/Rockland Region).

Through Rivertowns Playhouse, Kamran is committed to creating accessible, empowering theater that provides reflection, catharsis and hope to all of us here locally and beyond.
