As anyone who has been involved in theatre can tell you, it takes a whole village to bring a show to life. Below are the names of some of the people that have made Brothers Grimm possible:
Thank you to Ms. Aly Bott for your perspective and humor while jumping in to solve every problem at every hour. Our show would not exist in the form it does today without your help, and for that I am deeply grateful. There's nobody I'd rather lose my mind with late at night in the scene shop.
Speaking of the scene shop, thank you to Mr. Gary Luster for the loan of countless tools and materials while we continue to establish our shop. Thank you also to Robert Alison for outfitting our shop with the power tools that will serve us for years to come, and to Governor Jared Polis and the Colorado Department of Education by way of DonorsChoose for granting our shop a brand new Craftsman workbench in which to store all of our tools.
Thank you to Mr. Noah Walsh for donating your time and craftsmanship to help build our set and many of our props. Thank you also to Mrs. Lisa Porter for the use of your table saw and Cricut cutter for our set and lighting pieces.
On the subject of lighting, thank you to Dave Czapenski and Matt Schleif for the generous loan of your followspots from the Union Colony Civic Center and The Lincoln Center respectively. Thank you also to Shannon Johnson and Barbizon Lighting Company for all of your help troubleshooting our state-of-the-art lighting system.
Thank you to Mrs. Keri Campbell, Mrs. Kristi Thompson, Mrs. Elizabeth Reed, and everyone who donated or loaned our program props for the run of our show. Thank you also to Dr. Jeri Bowman for the many, many props and costumes you altered.
Thank you to Mr. Augstine Maes and the media arts classes for providing the programs in our audience's hands, the posters advertising our show, and the shirts our cast and crew are wearing. Thank you also to Landon Geis for creating the design that appears in all three of these.
Thank you to Mrs. Leslee Frary and all of the families that fed our cast and crew on cue-to-cue nights.
Thank you to Mrs. Allison Cavalluzzi for photographing our cast in action.
Thank you to Mrs. Hannah Ortega for ordering so very many props, organizing far too many receipts, and helping me navigate all the purchasing procedures of a new district.
Thank you to Mr. Balderson, Mr. Martin, and Mrs. Wilcox for welcoming me to the fine arts department with open arms. Thank you also to Mrs. Megan Sanders for making our November 7th preview possible and for your continued work in strengthening our K-12 performing arts offerings and alignment.
Thank you to our fearless leaders: Mr. Scott Nielsen, Mrs. Tami Kramer, Mr. Dave Benson, Mrs. Ali Ham, Mr. Kyle Addington, and Mr. Chad Walker for supporting my vision for our choir and theatre programs. It is a tremendous pleasure to be a part of the Rider family.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly: Thank you, our audience, for taking the time to be here tonight supporting our students. Art requires an audience and we are honored for you to be ours, whether you are one of the parents or guardians who drove your student to and from rehearsals, a community member here in support of a neighbor, or a guest here for a nice evening out. We hope you enjoy the show.
