Mia Miller
Music Director
Mia was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Se studied voice, music theory and music history at The Blair School of Music from 1982-1987 and attended Northwestern University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music in 1991. After college, she performed at Giles Heritage Theatre until 1992, where she performed as Fiona in "Brigandoon" and Laurie in "Oklahoma!". In 1993, she married her husband D. Scott Miller and moved to Carthage in 1995. In 2002, answered God’s call to ministry with children and youth within the United Methodist Church for 20 years. Throughout the years, she has directed countless VBS programs, outreach events, children’s choirs, handchime choirs, children’s theater camps, and music jam camps. From 2006-2014, she assisted with the SCHS theater productions from Sound of Music to Oklahoma! "There is no greater joy than helping young people gain knowledge and understanding or discover a new talent within themselves!"

Allison Smith
Assistant Music Director
Allison, a 2015 graduate of SCHS, has performed in plays and musicals since she was in 4th grade. She began with Bill Reece in 2007's production of Meet Me in St. Louis and has loved it since. In 2020, she married her stage partner and best friend JR Smith. In 2023, after the birth of their first child, she chose to return and give back to a program near to her heart.

Johnna Craighead
Choreographer/PR
Johnna Craighead teaches seventh grade ELA at SCMS and is also the head cheer coach. She started her musical theater journey when she was 11 years old in the Smith County After School Theater program, a journey that continues today. She has been a part of the SCP family since it began in 2021. She enjoys being able to watch the students grow both on and off-stage.

Gabby is excited to help with this SCP production. She would like to thank her amazing boyfriend, Logan Robinson, for encouraging her to do her best. She could not have done any of this without the support of her favorite director, Mr. JR Smith. Most importantly, she would like to thank her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
