JR Smith
Director
JR's foray into theatre began as a 4th grader on this stage in Mr. Reece's production of Annie in 2008 as the appleseller. That show ignited a passion for the arts. He was in every Reece show from 2008-2015 and continued performing at the Smith County Courthouse for another few years after. In 2021, he founded Smith County Playhouse to give students in this county the opportunity he and his peers had. Since its founding, the Playhouse has grown and thrived. It's growth couid not have been possible without the support of many parent and community volunteers. He couldn't do any of it without his wife, Allison. Her support and encouragement is incredible.
