The saying of "The show must go on!" has never been more truer in my life than the production you see before you. Our adventure started last May during audtions and tech applications. The cast and crew you see tonight is not the cast and crew that originally appeared on the list. We have had drops, swaps, and rotations, some as late as last week! While a little flexibility is expected, this show has made us all feel like contortionists.
Not only have we experienced change within our cast, but also with our tech end of things. While we are so excited and grateful to be recipients of the upgrades that have occured in our space, by no means are we where we had planned to be. Backorders and schedule changes have led to our tech team coming in before school, during free periods, and staying later than their acting peers to get all of the new equipment loaded in, trained on, and used.
The original brain child that was this production was not reached, however, this is what educational theatre is for - learning! We've learned to adjust on the fly. We've learned to find our light...sometimes. We've learned to project. We've learned to find solutions. We've learned to be a team.
Do we wish we had an extra week to work on this? Obviously! But sometimes you have to go with what life gives you and make the most of it. We thank you for your understanding of these late nights and long weekends. We thank you for your patience as we get frustrated or need an ear to vent to. We thank you for the years of support that you've given this program to be able to tackle each milestone and roadblock along the way. I honestly cannot say another group of students could have finished this production. These students in front and behind you have used their experience gained throughout the years to be able to go with the flow, and make us proud!
We would like to thank especially...

We cannot wait until this time next year when all of our upgrades and rennovations are complete! This building will look like a new and amazing space that you have never seen before. We cannot wait to play with all of these new toys when they finish coming in this month and truly allow these students to work with the professional equipment they deserve! Thank you for supporting the Fine and Performing Arts in Missouri's Public Schools!
