Welcome to The Garden Theatre’s production of Who’s Holiday!
At first glance, this play offers an irreverent twist on a classic holiday tale, a cheeky romp some might call it, inviting us to look beyond the surface of a beloved story. But beneath the humor and rhyme, Who’s Holiday offers something deeper—a poignant exploration of the intersection of joy and grief, a reminder of how the holidays often ask us to hold both at once.
As humans, we carry the weight of our past while seeking joy in the present. The holidays, in particular, magnify that balance, urging us to celebrate even when our hearts might be heavy. Through Cindy Lou’s story, we see the beauty of embracing both the hurt and the happiness, finding strength in vulnerability and humor in the absurdity of it all.
This production has been a deeply personal journey for everyone involved, and I am endlessly grateful to the team of artists who have brought it to life with such creativity, dedication, and sense of play.
To you, our audience: thank you for joining us in this shared experience of laughter, reflection, and connection. I hope Who’s Holiday leaves you smiling—through whatever you may be feeling—with the knowledge that joy and grief can dance together and that hope is always within reach.
Happy Holidays, now off we go—
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
