Director’s Note
Welcome, and thank you for joining us for this special production of Chicago: Teen Edition. This show has been an incredible journey for our students—one filled with growth, dedication, and the thrill of bringing such an iconic story to life. While Chicago is known for its sharp wit, bold style, and unforgettable music, what makes tonight truly meaningful is the hard work and passion of the young performers you see on this stage.
Theatre is never created in isolation, and this production is no exception. It takes a community—one built on trust, generosity, and support. First and foremost, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the families who have entrusted us with their students. Thank you for your time, your encouragement, and for sharing your talented young artists with us.
We are also incredibly thankful to the dedicated individuals who helped shape this production behind the scenes. A special thank you to Bella Baro for her outstanding work in musically directing this show and helping our students find both confidence and artistry in every note. We are deeply grateful to Robert McKelvey for generously donating his time and talent to build our set, creating the world you see before you. Thank you to Heather Stafford for her time and expertise in hair, makeup, and costume alterations—your work has helped bring each character vividly to life. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Barbara Goycochea for stage managing and donating her time to keep this production running smoothly.
We would like to thank our administration, especially Mrs. Coburn, for their continued support of the arts and for making opportunities like this possible for our students.
To our cast and crew: your commitment, courage, and creativity have made this production something truly special. We hope you carry this experience with you long after the final curtain.
Our dear seniors, we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. It has been a pleasure watching you all blossom and grow this school year. It is bittersweet to let you go into the real world. However, please know you have a family from Tradition Prep cheering you on from the wings for the rest of your life journey.
And to our audience—thank you for being here and supporting the arts at Tradition Preparatory High School. Enjoy the show!
Love,
Miss I and Sara
