The Wedding Singer - March 20 - March 21, 2026

Reading Senior High School

 Acknowledgements

This production combined the unique and varied talents of dozens of students, staff, and community members. Mr Smith and the entire ensemble would like to say a very special thank you to the following:

  • The RHS faculty, staff, and administrators. It takes EVERYONE in this building to make our students successful. I’m grateful for the kindness shown to us daily.

  • Our superintendent, Dr. Mumin, and the RSD administrative team.  We thank them for their support and enthusiasm for the performing arts in the Reading Schools.

  • RSD School Board for continuing to support all of the arts!

  • Ms. Sarah Ifkowitz, band director, for recruiting our musicians and training our student musicians in the pit. We appreciate your efforts to get more students and RSD music teachers involved.

  • Mike Borelli and the folks at the RMCTC Print Shop. Our posters, postcards, and Playbills are excellent. Thank you for the prompt service.

  • Mr. Kyle Brown for helping with some A/V details, and also for video recording our show every year. Thanks for always being quick with our last-minute requests.

  • The following people and businesses donated food/beverages over the past week: Michelle Scianna, Mrs. Dietrich's class, and Josy Santos

  • Isabella Ramirez and her family for creating the displays in the showcase and the table decorations in the lobby of today's performance.

  • Mrs. Joelia Welmaker for her expressive floral and drapery designs. Your dedication, spending late nights and early mornings, has truly brought the magic of weddings to life on our stage.

  • Special thanks to Ms. Santa Plank for stepping in during rehearsal to handle last-minute costume hemming and alterations. We are grateful for her help with every sewing emergency we threw her way.

  • Matthew Lerch, for generously donating his time, still, and craftsmanship to build and create several of our sets and props. His willingness to support RHS students and the arts is admirable.

  • Tom and Carla Heckman generously donated their time and energy to drive to pick up our costumes. Thomas also helped us build the woodwork to help us hang some of our special set pieces.

  • Richard Ewen helped with audio and sound mixing of the mics during the week of the show. This made a huge difference!

  • Many costumes are rented from DB Productions Costume Rental of New York.

  • Our many friends who will step up at the last minute to help us get this show to the finish line! You are truly angels.
